cucumber is the fourth Mac app on the Workbench and the one furthest from release. Its job is to close the financial loop around independent projects: budgets, bills to pay, money to receive, and the final invoice.
The app is being designed to work on its own, while also accepting a narrow project handoff from card&board and returning resulting invoices and financial documents to Aerial View. The three applications can become a discounted suite without turning into one enormous dashboard or making any app dependent on the others.
Money is less forgiving than a movable task card. Arthur is therefore defining calculations, states, exports, corrections, backups, and recovery paths before treating the current interface as a product promise. The Human-in-the-Middle rule is simple here: financial consequences stay visible and deliberate.
AI assistance expands the speed at which implementation options can be explored. Arthur still defines the model, reviews the behavior, checks the numbers, rejects weak shortcuts, and owns the release decision.
The next milestone is not a launch countdown. It is a bounded financial specification and a tested exchange format between the apps. cucumber stays on the Workbench until those foundations are dependable.
