Some projects begin with a clear brief. Others begin with six thoughts at once, an approaching deadline, and no obvious place to start. One Knot is a coming app from Augmented Arthur: Applications, built around that second kind of beginning.
The idea is simple: speak or type what is on your mind, even when it arrives out of order. One Knot uses AI to help separate the mixture into something you can work with: what matters, what can wait, and one manageable next step.
People with ADHD are central to the design. The app is also intended for people who think a lot and sometimes feel overwhelmed by it, including artists, freelancers, project leads, and project managers. You should be able to bring a tangled situation without having to organize it first.
The current iPhone prototype combines voice and text input with thought sorting and lightweight planning. A Focus view highlights the immediate action, while a Plan view keeps the larger sequence available. Steps can be broken into smaller actions, conversations can be saved and resumed, and the remaining plan can be reconsidered when you report what happened or circumstances change.
The ambition is to make starting and returning easier, with less effort spent maintaining a system. One Knot is still in development; these are prototype capabilities, with broader testing ahead. AAA will publish the app, and a public beta invitation will follow when it is ready.
Starting Monday, 26 October 2026, Arthur will introduce One Knot in more depth through a six-week series on LinkedIn and Bluesky. Each Monday will explore a different part of the experience, from speaking messy thoughts aloud to finding a smaller starting point and picking up a project after an interruption. The series is also an invitation to future users to share where this kind of support would be useful.
