IO: localhost is a small native Mac app for seeing and controlling the local servers already running on a machine. Development servers, application services, and system processes can be grouped, named, favorited, and stopped from one window—without hunting through terminal tabs for the process Arthur started yesterday.
The app is local by design. It does not need an account, does not send server information to Augmented Arthur: Applications, and does not send working data to an AI service. The point is modest and useful: make an invisible part of local development legible and controllable.
Arthur conceived the product, defined the interaction model, designed the interface, and set the safety boundary. AI accelerated the implementation. Arthur tests the result against the real development environment it was made to manage and remains responsible for what earns a place in the release.
IO: localhost will be free and open source. The public release will include a signed and Apple-notarized Mac build, a public GitHub repository, an explicit license, installation and troubleshooting documentation, a support boundary, and a security-reporting route. Bug reports will be welcome; individual setup support and response-time guarantees will not be included.
That makes IO: localhost the front door to the paid AAA product family: a small, inspectable proof that Arthur can ship software built with AI assistance while keeping product judgment, testing, and responsibility human-owned.
Current state: working application in distribution preparation. Remaining release work includes signing, notarization, repository cleanup, documentation, and final installation testing.
